Duplicate Cleaner Pro Version 4.0.3 Update

Duplicate Cleaner Pro is worth exploring if you don’t mind paying for quality.

This application searches through any folder you choose to find duplicate files that are taking up space. It can scan multiple folders, ZIP archives, or even your entire computer at once, and it does it relatively quickly. It also lets you locate similar images (rotated, resized, etc.) and compare your audio files by tags. It took the program about four minutes to browse through our computer during testing. Once it finished, it gave us a lengthy list of potential duplicates. Almost all of the files Duplicate Cleaner Pro highlighted were unnecessary duplicates. The program lets you highlight each file individually, as well as the whole list for quick deleting. However, the free version only lets you manage the first 100 groups (two or more copies of the same file), so you’ll need to run the program over and over again if you want it to get rid of all of your duplicates. That’s rather annoying, even if the program is quick to find and delete duplicate files, but it’s enough to test the program and see if you like it before purchasing.

Duplicate Cleaner Pro has all of the makings of a good program, so it might be worth the cash for you. Even though there are other free programs that give you similar usability without a price tag, this one does offer some additional features and quick performance to make it worth your while.
