Pros. Lots of options: Especially if you’re trying to convert files to play on your mobile devices, you should be able to find the format you need. A few of the file types available for conversion include MP4, MPG, AVI, MP3, 3GP, FLV, WAV, and many more.

Intuitive interface: This app features a clear interface, and an easy-to-follow process. Even those new to converting files will master FormatFactory quickly.

Good help: Any questions you may have should be answered in the comprehensive Help file, which includes numerous screenshots to show you the features.

Cons. Unsuccessful conversions: On a couple of occasions during testing, the app failed to convert a file to the selected format. A second attempt was successful in both instances, however.

Bottom Line.FormatFactory is a nice free utility that lets you complete conversions quickly and efficiently. The few bugs we found during testing are offset by its capabilities and ease of use.
